May is the in-between.
After a month of deep grief and quietly tending, I am finally feeling the shift in energy and I am ready to move forward with intention.
After polling my beautiful community and learning that we are all quietly feeling this shift inside and craving mini-rituals to both ground, hold and expand us — I came up with a plan. Monthly themes, rituals and gathering to connect in shared momentum and support.
Each month, I’ll share a set of simple, sensual rituals to help you reconnect with the season and with yourself—your identity, your creativity, your desires you can try—to reconnect with your inner world, mark transition points, and honor where you’re at.
May is the perfect place to begin, because May is all about the in-between.
It’s not quite the shell of winter. And not yet the full bloom of summer.
This month, we’re tending the threshold. The liminal, a place where we root deep and expand with all we’ve got into what’s next.
This also just so happens to be the perfect month to release the book I’ve been working on. Next week, I’ll be revealing more details including the book name and cover and a couple pieces. eeekkk!
These rituals are here to help you release what you’ve outgrown, reconnect with your creativity, and make space for what's quietly taking root beneath the surface. Each one builds on the last, and by the end of the month, you’ll have a spring altar that reflects the season you’re moving through.
Rituals for May:
Try Something New + Creative
Try something you’ve never done before, or haven’t done in years. Bonus points if it connects you to your hands, your senses, or something you'll add to your altar later this month.
Here's what I did:
I made candles and used them later in my rituals
I stained parchment paper using tea and coffee (very easy and cute)
I practiced calligraphy, using it to write a letter for release and to my future self
I sealed that letter using the candles I made and a custom wax seal
Let this be about process, not perfection. This is about taking steps to meet yourself in the act of creation, just for you.

Spring Foraging + Flower Pressing
Take a notebook and go outside. Wander slowly. Let your senses guide you.
Notice what you see, hear, smell, feel.
Forage for a few small pieces of spring: fallen leaves, tiny blossoms, anything that's safe to collect. Press them into your notebook to dry for the month—you'll use them in an art ritual next month.
This is a ritual of remembering. Let it bring you back into presence.
Ritual for Release
Write down everything you're ready to let go of—old stories, sticky beliefs, things you're done carrying.
Burn it safely. I used one of the candles I made for this part, which felt really special.
I kept the ashes for the next ritual.
Plant a Seed of Intention
This one is layered.
I grabbed a pot and added fresh soil. Then I mixed in the ashes from my fire ritual, as a way to fertilize what comes next. I wrote a letter to myself from my future self, speaking from the version of me who is already living the desires & growth I’m calling in. I rolled it up, buried it in the center of the pot, and planted sunflower seeds in a circle around it.
Then I added a few things that felt symbolic to me:
money, crystals, feathers
Finally, I watered it with the last of the moon water I charged during an Aries new moon—back when I started writing my book. That felt like a full circle moment. Creation now preparing to grow into the light.
p.s. there is a powerful full moon coming on may 12th, a great time to release & manifest. Charge up your moon water, or simply do one of your rituals that night.
Build a Spring Altar
Gather everything you’ve created or collected this month:
pressed flowers
your planted seed pot
your sealed letter or future self letter
any crystals, natural elements, or symbolic pieces from your rituals
I placed mine on my desk mantle where I write and get ready in the morning. It’s an evolving space now—one I see every day while I create and prepare for what’s coming.
Your altar doesn’t have to be fancy. Just let it be a reflection of what you're growing into. Let it remind you daily that your rituals matter. Let it be an intentional way you can move and pour into you this month. Let it hold your visions & becoming.
If you try any of these rituals this month, tag me or message me. I’d love to witness what you’re creating, releasing, or growing. You’ll see me sharing each of these as the days unfold.
More soon.
With you in the in-between, Lacey
